"The fundamental mission of motherhood now is the same as it always was: to nurture, protect, and instruct children, to create a home environment that enables them to learn and grow, to help them develop a heart for God and his purposes, and to send them out into the world prepared to live both fully and meaningfully."

Friendly February

It's easier for me to do group posts these days---so lately it seems like I don't post everything individually, but rather do a monthly one. As I was looking over this month's pics, I realized that we spent alot of time with friends near and far, old and new. I like that. Here's what we did:
We watched (well, the guys did) the Super Bowl with our Supper Club buddies.
AnnMarie, Lauren, Molly
Drew, Clark, Mase, Katie Mae

Does Clark look like the brown berry in this group, or what? :)

The Friday before Valentine's Day we went to see AnnMarie sing with her class at FWCS. The event was their annual fundraiser, A Taste of Honey (which my friends, Angie and Heather, worked SO hard on). It was so much fun and raised a great amount of money for the school! We were so excited to get to visit with Caryn and her boys, Stacey and Wyatt.
Got a little out of order here, but that week we had AnnMarie's Valentine party at school. AM and I made these sweet/salty treats the night before:

The Vday party craft. A keeper forever!

A couple shots of the performance:

The next day some of our best friends from McKinney (Emily, Justin, and Jack) came for a visit. We went to the BU/Mizzou game (they are Mizzou grads) which was SO fun for us all. Luckily the Bears pulled it out! Sorry, Martins. :(

The Clarkster absolutely loooooooooved Emily. He would just curl up and cuddle with her the whole weekend! Here's where he took his nap at the game:

Brother took it all in

Sister cheered her little heart out!

Buddies!

The lady Bears have a GIGANTIC new player this year. I'm not kidding, she is huge. So I made Sean take his picture with her. (or her poster)

We took the shuttle to the Ferrell center from our parking spots, and it was a BIG hit with Jack and AnnMarie. Cheap entertainment!

Another one of our February dates was a visit with Shannon and Caryn who were in from Dallas. Once upon a time in the nineties there were four friends (Ann, Lauren, Katy, Shannon)===now in the year 2010 there are four friends with TEN kids.
A little game of duck, duck, goose...

C and C

Shannon with Clark and Payton---little ham!

We made the kids take a pic---didn't go over too well :)

ALL of us. wow! we have multiplied! and what a blessing it is. so much LOVE in february!

Treasure it! I could eat the clarkster up when he's watching the basketball game!! Those cheeks and in the BU shirt. Bring it on.
Great post and pics!

Sean with the Lady Bears girl is hilarious! My whole family got in a "discussion" with Derek saying how girls' dunking is poo poo and my mom saying it's amazing. Yes, be glad you were not there. Love all the friends you guys are hanging out with! Might have to come on down to Waco for a Spring Break visit to see all those chitlin's!
