Sip n See

I have the best friends. I really do. Every place the Lord has brought me to, He has also brought great friends. Some I've been reunited with, some are new, but none the less, each so special.

And since this was not about me, but about my precious son, Clark, I will move on. :)

These darling Waco friends of mine hosted a Sip N See for us a couple Sundays ago. The little Clarkman was passed around wearing his Sunday best, and we all got to visit and catch up.

The adorable table spread. Notice that really cool stroller in the background? That was a gift from the hostesses! It's a "sit n stand" "Joovy" which I know will get many a use!

My bestie, Shannon, came in town for another event so of course I snagged her to come and be the impromptu photgrapher (well, and invited guest). :) (We're rocking the cool "hand on hip" pose that is really in right now. Yikes---I need to work on it.)

And now begins all the sweet little vintage touches that were all around Emmalie's house. Those of you that know me well, know this was a detail that did not get overlooked in my book! :)

Really, this Sip n See was just perfect. I appreciate everything you did, girls! Thank you for making Clark William's arrival so special!

Clark is 2 months old!

...and he has been for a week now, but I've been a slow blogger lately! :)

We had our 2 month checkup, and the little man had to get 5 vaccines! :( Poor thing. I felt so bad for him. But--he sailed through like a champ!

stats: (because Mommy has to record them somewhere seeing as the baby book is collecting dust...)

ding ding ding! and in this corner, weighing in at 16 lbs 6 oz! Clark William Svoboda! (ahem, our Dr. said there is no "percentile" chart for our little man. He is what they call, "off the charts". I promise I'm not sneaking him steak and potatoes at night!) :)

*24 inches long (I think he said 75th percentile?)

*head size 41 cm (not sure on this one)

A.A.C: (All About Clark)

-loooooooooooves his bath (he gets very mad when we take him out!)

-smiles so much now! I'm loving it!

-is starting to coo (when sister lets him get a word in edgewise)

-has started sucking his thumb (you can't fight it people...and it comes in handy at 3 a.m.)

-is a champion napper

-is sleeping 8 hrs at night (we'll take it!)

-would let mommy cuddle with him ALL day if I wanted (I can't get enough of this!)

-wearing size 3 diapers

-wearing 9 months clothes

My Prima Ballerina

I have been waiting for this day for a looooooooooong time. My little girl is taking dance! Now, just so you know, I am not a "toddlers & tiaras" crazy mom---she wants to do it WAY more than I want her to. :)

Miss Priss loooooooooves tap. In fact, they all did. The tap, tap, tapping was just too tempting the ENTIRE class. :) It was so funny. heel, toe, heel, toe. It took me back to my dancing days once upon a time.

Can't wait for tomorrow's class!

What up, Cuz?

These two are just too cute. The other night J&J came over with the B man to cookout with us. Here are the little cousins enjoying the bouncers:
Julia and I stayed in the kitchen chatting away after supper, and later we went in the living room to find this: the boys propped up by their daddies watching hunting shows. Now Clark, I'm sorry that this is probably not the last time you'll be draped with a pink blanket.
Brooks chose the couch. His expression cracked me up==-looks like he's zoned in on the deer stalking techniques:

August Happenins

Thought I would combine all these pics into one post. A little here, a little there:

The other day we got to spend some time with our buddy Creighton and his new little brother, Griffin, who is a sweetheart! So precious. (We are so excited about all of Clark's little playmates that have been born this summer and will be this fall. Yay!) I didn't get a pic of Griffin, but here are AM and Creighton "hunting" in his backyard.

Clark slept the playdate away. :)

The Friday night before school started, our little community of Woodway hosted a "Family Movie Night" where everyone brings their lawn chairs, blankets, etc. and watches a movie together complete with free popcorn, hotdogs, cotton candy, smores, snowcones, glow necklaces (BIG HIT!), and more. We had so much fun! Some friends were there too, and it was a cool night which was exceptionally nice! I loved it because it was the perfect little community outing with not 4 million people trying to do the same thing like in the metroplex! (sorry big city friends, but that's just the way it is...) :)

Clark loved it===slept the whole time.

Oh--I forgot--there was face painting! I don't know if you can tell from this picture, but this little one was SO excited about this night. She LOVED it.

The next morning Daddy washed his truck along with his trusty sidekick who washed hers.

Got to get all the bugs off!

Sister is serious about her little brother...I love watching them together! ;)
