"The fundamental mission of motherhood now is the same as it always was: to nurture, protect, and instruct children, to create a home environment that enables them to learn and grow, to help them develop a heart for God and his purposes, and to send them out into the world prepared to live both fully and meaningfully."

23 months

This is the last monthly bubba post I will do...   :(

Last month we celebrated Brooksy's 2 years!  Bounce house action!

With Uncle Josh (he's really into "josh" lately)

This is the best pic I could get of the two of them.  Always moving!
It was the cutest tractor party ever!  Clark took a spin with daddy on the real tractor.  He did not love it though.  REALLY wanted Mommy.  Fine with me! :)

Not loving hats these days...

Farmer Svoboda
He has really gotten into these cars lately.  And he loves to drive one-handed.  :)  This picture cracks me up because judging from Sean's stride in the background, he was heading full speed into something...

I have found Clark here lately---behind the sofa in AM's chair "reading" a book.  Pretty darn cute.

Helping Daddy blow out his candles

He was a clown on Mother's Day.  :)

kind of scary

with buddy Drew
I know---the nose.  He fell out of his little car on the patio and scraped his nose pretty badly.  Major scab. :(  Luckily, it was not that deep and didn't leave a scar.  Hallelujah!
One morning he insisted on putting on his boots, belt, and jacket all at once.  Nice.

Gah!  He looks so ollllllld in this one.  :( And by the way this kid LOVES water.

Getting a squeeze from sis on Memorial Day.

Isn't this adorable?  --With some of our sweetest friends, Jack and Elizabeth.  A HUGE THANK YOU to their sweet parents (Kristiana and Eric) that kept my kiddos so Sean and I could have a date.
True blue friends are some of the biggest blessings in life!
Posing in front of our garden!

Is there anything cuter than a little boy's first pair of flip flops???????????????  no!!!!!!
Super Clark!  is coming out these days!
He got to help Pepaw install a new fan for us.  "fix it" is one of his new favorite phrases.  :)
3 1/2 weeks until he turns two!  wow!

Dance Recital

Another year of dance has come and gone!
Wow, the years are short!
My little ballerina/tapper LoVeD her costume this year.  :)
Striking a pose before we left.

Favorite pose again backstage!

Keeping busy until it was their turn.  Some of our buddies!  ---Ella, Ally, and Lila

These two are the sweetest of friends!!  Karoline!
Cousin Brooksy came to watch!  My camera did NoT like the darkness so that's why it was so blurry!
Again, the bluriness.  So sorry!  Tiny dancers going to town!

We made it through the whole recital (phew!) and even stayed for the finale.  That's our prima ballerina--last one on the right, waving.
YAY!

Getting flowers afterwards from Daddy (and everyone).
Mrs. Dianne, Gigi, and Gamma all came to watch little Missy. She is very loved!

My sweet AnnMarie

And then we ran out to find Brooks and Papa.  B lasted the whole recital!  He is such a good boy.  And smart!  I think he was getting a little sleepy at this point though.  :)
We have so many good friends that take from Jenni Holley.  Molly and Lauren!

Love these two cousin buddies.  :)  They really love each other and are so much alike!

We are SO proud of our precious dancer.  It got a little tough at the end of the year to gear up for dance each week, but she made it!  And of course after the recital she told me she DOES want to do it again next year.  So much for taking a year off! :)

*A special thank you to Pepaw for watching the Clarkster for us so we could (enjoyably) watch AM dance.  We decided that (recital + Clarkman = no fun for anybody) so Pepaw generously offered.  He was fed, bathed, and loved when we got home.  THANK YOU!!!
