"The fundamental mission of motherhood now is the same as it always was: to nurture, protect, and instruct children, to create a home environment that enables them to learn and grow, to help them develop a heart for God and his purposes, and to send them out into the world prepared to live both fully and meaningfully."

Mary Claire is 5 months

This little one's first months are flying!
She got a little snuggling from big sister.
Constantly changing!

Can't.get.enough.

It was a pretty busy month for her.  She chatted with Sarah Catherine.

She played with cousin Cassie.

Her new favorite things: her feet

Wanting to sit up in the tub
Just before four month shots...the calm before the storm!

AnnMarie taught her how to play Pretty Pretty Princess.

Memphis cousins visit

The day after Clark's birthday party, the Jurgensen cousins came for a visit.  It was so good to see them since we didn't do our annual beach trip this year. Boo!  That can't happen again!  The beach has been calling me... :(

Anyway, we had a really fun time.

We went to the fabulous Waco zoo!

Clark turns tHrEe

Wow.  Three sounds big.  I'm coming to terms with the fact that he's not a baby anymore.
:(
But given his behavior as of late...I will get there faster than I think.  ;)

Anyway----little bubba had a great birthday weekend!

My handsome little guy

As soon as he rolled out of bed, big sister was there with presents!  A new bat and ball from little Mary...

...And a new Superman shirt from AnnMarie.

That night we had a family celebration.  The super triplets were there!

Blowing out the candles on his cookie cake

Sweet face

Cousins Brooksy and Sarah Catherine gave him a Buzz Lightyear costume.  BIG hit.

And then the next morning it was party time!!  Big sister was my set up assistant.

Warms my heart to take sibling pics!

Birthday boy
His first request: football party;
his second request: bounce house!

The gym at the MAC was the perfect setting...not just for the rambunctious kiddos, but for the parents who wanted to stay out of the heat!

So glad Aunt Line and Uncle Lukey could be there!

AnnMarie made a special poster for the party.  It was just perfect, Sister!

After the party we got some good visit time in (although it's never enough!) with the Midland crew.  Clarky had to get his tools and go help Pepaw work on the car.

And AM got to sit on Grandmommy's lap and hear some stories.  A perfect weekend for us all!

Dear Clark,
I cannot beLIEVE it's been three years already.  You are the most precious and perfect son I could have ever wished for.  God has blessed us a million times over with you, and we can't wait to see how you grow and change and what the Lord has in store for your life.  You are an affectionate, compassionate, active, happy, energetic, all BOY little guy.  Thank you for bringing such joy and completeness to our family.  We love you forever and ever!
