"The fundamental mission of motherhood now is the same as it always was: to nurture, protect, and instruct children, to create a home environment that enables them to learn and grow, to help them develop a heart for God and his purposes, and to send them out into the world prepared to live both fully and meaningfully."

-Sally Clarkson from the Mission of Motherhood

Playdate with Emmy

One of our good buddies, Emmy, came in town to visit us a few weeks ago. Here are the girls at Chick-fil-A (of course!). :) We had a great time visiting with little sister, Maggie, and mommy Laura as well. We miss our McKinney buddies!!

Jurgensens do San Antonio

Ok, a major late post, but better late than never! In January, the Jurgensens took a family trip to San Antonio to do some shopping and take in the sights and sounds of the Riverwalk. We had a great time! Here's the whole fam in action. Hmmm...my belly is stretched out a little more than Julia's----and she's a month ahead! 2nd baby body! :)

AnnMarie and Caroline. Aren't they adorable??? :)

Here he is!!!

Well, here is our bouncing baby boy. I think he is sucking his thumb in the first pic! Just like big sister... ;) Doesn't he have the cutest little profile??

Now, if you need me to explain the next picture, give me a call and we'll talk. AH! All of my friends out there know that I'm a little bit nervous about changing this kind of diaper... hehe Oh well, gotta start somewhere!

We can't wait to meet him!

We've made the move...

...to the big girl bed. Prego mommy got really tired of lifting AnnMarie up into the crib (I know, I know, all you boy mommies----and now that's me!-----are going to really make fun of me since you lift the heavyweights everyday, but hey, it's all I know!) so last weekend we took down the crib, put in the twin beds, and there you have it. She has been a champ, has slept so well, and LOVES her new "big girl room" and Ariel sheets. Yes, that's right, I broke down and let her pick out the tackiest cheesiest set ever. But--I figure they'll be covered up by the duvets that Mommy picked out. hehe (which by the way are not in these pictures because they're not ready yet...)
Well, here are some pictures of the in-transition phase. We'll post some more pics of the finished room it's all said and done.

It's a BOY!!!!!!!

Well, the majority of you were right! It's indeed a boy! I can't believe it. We are so excited, and I think I am in shock! :) What a blessing. We are so thankful for this precious angel! Will post pics soon...

To all of my friends that can relate...:)

My sweet friend, Manda

One of my old teaching buddies and sweet friend, Manda, is going through a very hard time. Just 6 days after her baby boy Aiden was born, the doctors discovered that she had cancer in her leg. Now, two weeks later, they have decided to move forward and remove her leg and begin the journey that will include chemo and radiation. Her Sunday School class has given Manda a pager and every time you pray for her, her husband Aaron or baby Aiden, please send her a page to let her know. You don't need to put in your phone number, just type in something like 111 so she knows she was prayed for. God is so big, and we know He is in control! The number is 972-229-4207. Thank you so much! We love you, Manda!

Our first glimpse of you...

So, I've had this picture for awhile, but my scanner was giving me issues, and I'm just now getting it posted! Anyway, here is Baby Svoboda #2! I was 9 weeks along when this was taken.
This little peanut is VERY active! I have been feeling him/her kick for 3 weeks now, and I love it! It is one of my favorite parts of pregnancy. I can't get enough of it. The thing is I don't remember feeling AM kick until more like 20 weeks. And I must say that I'm a little nervous because I thought AnnMarie was active..............hmmmmm What is ahead for us???? :) Oh well, I think the Lord knows I need constant excitement, and Sean might need a little payback from what I've heard about his childhood. hehe
We can't wait to get another picture in 2 1/2 weeks!!!!

So, what do you think?

Ok, it's official. Our ultrasound has been scheduled for Thursday, February 26th. The day when we find out if it's a boy or a girl! Let me know what you think it is by voting in our little poll to the right-----:)

Jamey Johnson

So........if you read some of my "fun facts" a while back, I mentioned that I sang backup in a country band in college. Well, here's the guy I sang with! If you're a country fan, you've probably already heard this song. It's great and so sweet. If not, please take a listen! (You'll need to pause the music playing on my blog first.)
