"The fundamental mission of motherhood now is the same as it always was: to nurture, protect, and instruct children, to create a home environment that enables them to learn and grow, to help them develop a heart for God and his purposes, and to send them out into the world prepared to live both fully and meaningfully."

We've made the move...

...to the big girl bed. Prego mommy got really tired of lifting AnnMarie up into the crib (I know, I know, all you boy mommies----and now that's me!-----are going to really make fun of me since you lift the heavyweights everyday, but hey, it's all I know!) so last weekend we took down the crib, put in the twin beds, and there you have it. She has been a champ, has slept so well, and LOVES her new "big girl room" and Ariel sheets. Yes, that's right, I broke down and let her pick out the tackiest cheesiest set ever. But--I figure they'll be covered up by the duvets that Mommy picked out. hehe (which by the way are not in these pictures because they're not ready yet...)
Well, here are some pictures of the in-transition phase. We'll post some more pics of the finished room it's all said and done.

Katy those beds are gorgeous!!! I never made it out to look at them when I was over - I love them. And I am a huge fan of two twins in a room, I think it looks so classic and darling. Glad the transition has been going well.

Wow, Katy you scored with those beautiful beds! They are perfect. I want to hear the story. And I can't imagine lifting a 3 yr old into a crib. Would have done the same thing. She'll do great!
