"The fundamental mission of motherhood now is the same as it always was: to nurture, protect, and instruct children, to create a home environment that enables them to learn and grow, to help them develop a heart for God and his purposes, and to send them out into the world prepared to live both fully and meaningfully."

Jamey Johnson

So........if you read some of my "fun facts" a while back, I mentioned that I sang backup in a country band in college. Well, here's the guy I sang with! If you're a country fan, you've probably already heard this song. It's great and so sweet. If not, please take a listen! (You'll need to pause the music playing on my blog first.)

So, I remember driving Honky Cat to Montgomery to play with him . . . What was the name of that place, Pure Country? I think Brendt went with us once (did we all pile in Roll On?) and once we went solo. What a memory.

I actually got back in touch with Jamey. Did you know I was in his wedding? He's doing well . . .

Oh, and you know he wrote "Give it Away" for George Strait and "Honkytonk Badonkadonk" for Trace Adkins, right?

Brendt and I are thrilled about the newest one on the way. My bet is a little girl.
