"The fundamental mission of motherhood now is the same as it always was: to nurture, protect, and instruct children, to create a home environment that enables them to learn and grow, to help them develop a heart for God and his purposes, and to send them out into the world prepared to live both fully and meaningfully."

Thanksgiving
We had a nice, long, relaxing visit to Midland for Thanksgiving (which also happened to be on Gamma's birthday this year!). So we had fun celebrating with her too. Only in West Texas can you see a sunset like this. Pardon the "dashboard" shot, but I just had to capture it!
Pepaw got this Barbie jeep for AnnMarie a couple years ago, and she and Bubba had so much fun cruising around in it!
I love this pic because it isn't posed and just captures life with me and my peanuts snuggled up on the couch doing nothing. So sweet! We had had a calm day watching the Macy's day parade and eating Grandmommy's DElicious dinner.
This was also the last pic I took before the terrible stomach bug hit AnnMarie and me. :( yuck! It was awful. Luckily, AM's was over very quickly, but mine lasted Friday, Friday night, and part of the day on Saturday. Oh my word, I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. Well, maybe.
But anyway, we still had a great visit and were completely comfortable and all spread out in our own rooms. An absolute treat when you're traveling with small kids. Thank you, Billy and Debra, for that! Just one of the many things we were thankful for this Thanksgiving. :)
