"The fundamental mission of motherhood now is the same as it always was: to nurture, protect, and instruct children, to create a home environment that enables them to learn and grow, to help them develop a heart for God and his purposes, and to send them out into the world prepared to live both fully and meaningfully."

Super Swimmer!

Last week AnnMarie had her first set of swimming lessons. She did great! She has always loved the water and can swim around independently with floaties on, but this was her first chance to be brave and learn to do it with no floats! I was so proud of how she kept trying even on day 2 which was a little rough, but by the end of the week she was so proud to show off her new skills! Here is her official certificate from Mrs. Sandy:

Maybe we should have worn our sunglasses...

Doing the "monkey crawl" around the side...

"Swimming through hoops"

She went under for the first time! yay!

Her little swimming group: (Jake, Aiden, Brinley, and AM)

We have found a new sweet friend in little Miss Brinley. She is a fish! Aren't these two cute?

Aw. We looooooooooved Mrs. Sandy. She is a GREAT teacher! We'll see ya next summer!

Now let's hope our new skills will continue...
