No, not because I thought he was some incredible person or anything. But this one major piece of my childhood is gone. This was the first "tape" I ever owned. I loved it. I loved Michael Jackson. I still love his music. (really I like the stuff that's older than this tape the best) I can't believe he died. And say what you want about his life (well, how he lived it), and it's probably all true, but he was such an icon for what he did. I think what I'm the saddest about is that he never seemed to get his life straightened/figured out. All that fame, yet all that oddness. Well, here's to a music legend, our 80's music prince of pop, and a man who's music will stand the test of time.

Were you really up at 5:54??? I loved MJ too, had the pink leather purse with his picture ironed on it. Rocking out at skate world to michael is a very fond childhood memery!!

I was just telling my husband the exact same thing last night. And that tape was the 1st one that I ever remember owning too ( i got it with my JAM BOX) It is like loosing Elvis for our generation. Just hard to believe.
