"The fundamental mission of motherhood now is the same as it always was: to nurture, protect, and instruct children, to create a home environment that enables them to learn and grow, to help them develop a heart for God and his purposes, and to send them out into the world prepared to live both fully and meaningfully."

Mary {Claire} Had a Little Lamb...

We had such a fun day celebrating our little Mary.  It was the perfect, most beautiful day.  So glad our family and friends could be there with us!

Before that weekend I began hunting lambs everywhere...

Ok these pics are slightly out of order, but who cares.  :)  Favors for her little one year old friends!

Gamma and Pepaw gave her her very own chair.  So sweet!  I love it.

Those months went by so fast...

It's such a blessing to live in town with cousins.-- Something I never got to experience, but I'm loving watching my kids do it!
So somehow over the years we have collected many lamb/sheep stuffed animals.  Made for the perfect entertainment for one year olds!

Gigi had a lamb cake at her 2nd birthday party so I had to display this pic.

Mrs. Crumpler never disappoints.

Big sister designed a poster for the party.

The smash cake

Some crafts for the big siblings to do

MC getting her whacks in before Brady starts walking.  Watch out, sister, he's got you beat by about ten pounds!
Playing with sweet little Brighton

And then reality sets in and she's chewing on a Spiderman football.   Life with a big brother.

Getting some sweet kisses from Mrs. Dianne

Pepaw loves his girls!

Twinkle toes!

Aunt Allison is the sweetest!

With our forever baby :)

Sadie pausing to pose for the camera

I love this picture.  On my worst day I am overly blessed.  Thank you, God, for the chance to be a mother!
It's always worth it to painstakingly get everyone together for a picture.  Always.

Playing with Granddaddy

Uncle Jonathan always keeps the bigs entertained!

Getting a squeeze from Grandmommy

Clark's turn!

I promise SC was enjoying this.  Getting some tickles!

She really wanted to wear AnnMarie's headband.

Allison and her mini-me

The bigs helped MC open her presents.  She didn't care.  She just wanted the tissue paper!

We have the sweetest friends who gave the most thoughtful gifts.

Can't wait to see how you grow and change in year two, Mary Claire!
