"The fundamental mission of motherhood now is the same as it always was: to nurture, protect, and instruct children, to create a home environment that enables them to learn and grow, to help them develop a heart for God and his purposes, and to send them out into the world prepared to live both fully and meaningfully."

-Sally Clarkson from the Mission of Motherhood

East Waco Ballet

AnnMarie takes ballet from a program called, "Praise Him Ballet" at a local church.  The director mentioned to the parents that she'd like to hold a ballet workshop in East Waco as part of their outreach ministry.  My ears perked up when I heard this because I love love love those kids, and since I've stopped teaching, I really haven't had an opportunity to work with them. We asked for donations of ballet shoes and brought along tutus and tshirts for all the girls.
Sooooo, the locale was decided on: an East Waco apartment community center.  A group of us from PHB headed out one Saturday morning at the beginning of the month and brought our daughters with us to dance as well.
I volunteered to be the resident photographer (even though I am in no way a professional! ha!), but I do love taking pictures.

***Because of privacy/custody issues, I can't show any "faces" of these precious girls, but you can imagine how dArLiNg they were, and we were all definitely blessed by our time with them.***

Warming up before the girls arrived

It was a sweet day and really helped AnnMarie and I focus on what it means to truly "love" others during this busy Christmas season.
