"The fundamental mission of motherhood now is the same as it always was: to nurture, protect, and instruct children, to create a home environment that enables them to learn and grow, to help them develop a heart for God and his purposes, and to send them out into the world prepared to live both fully and meaningfully."

Turning 6 a little early

Since AnnMarie's birthday is ten days after my due date, I decided it would be best to go ahead and have her party early.  What kid wouldn't want to celebrate ahead of time, and what mommy wants to bring her ten day old to a birthday party?? :)
She wanted a "cheerleader" themed gymnastics party.  I guess they do go hand in hand?  We could only invite a handful of friends, and it turned out to be the easiest party I've ever done!  Very thankful for that at nine months along!

Easy favors!

Our big girl!

Ally falling into the pit!

Two pretty adorable cousins!!

The girls told me this was called "ants on a log".

Bubba's first drop into the pit!

Time to open presents!

"Toms" from Gigi=big hit!

Ready to sing!

You're (kind of) SIX!

The crazy birthday crew!

And now we can relax and wait for baby---and have a little family celebration on the real day.  And I must say again, not having to prep your house and then clean it all up was really nice!
What a great day!
