day 2--mAgIc KiNgDoM



As we hopped out of bed our first morning, we set our sights on the Magic Kingdom!  woohoo!  This was the view from our balconies.





We had to get up extra early in order to see the little song and dance they do to open the park.  The kiddos waiting for the monorail...

It was SO worth it to be there early especially on our first day!  It made me cry!

Our first character pic!  Get out that autograph book!  Right after this Gigi, AnnMarie, and I made our way to the Bippity Boppity Boutique for her appointment.




And while we were off doing that, the rest of the crew played.  Just some generations of Jurgensen boys!

After we were all done up, we headed across the way to Cinderella's castle for our lunch at "Cinderella's Royal Table".  The awe of meeting the rEaL Cinderella...

The food was delicious!  We always had great food while in WDW.




It was so neat because each princess was announced and entered the room individually to go to each table for pictures and autographs.  A must do for 4/5 year old little girls!

During lunch, they have a little "wishes" ceremony.  AM loved this of course!

DW is different than anywhere you go because the people are truly in character the whole time.  They act as if they just stepped out of the movie.  Right where your little darling wants to pick up...

After lunch we headed over to Jasmine's magic carpet ride.



Had to show the excitement again.  These actors are great!  So fun to watch your kid get to be a kid!

And then we met up with the fam to show off the finished product.  Cheese!!!!!!!





The last time we took this family shot in DW was 17 years ago!
I am so very thankful to my generous parents who made this trip happen for all of us.  It was absolutely wonderful!

sigh.  Anywhere else this would look like a scene from Toddlers and Tiaras, and I would be berated for knowingly letting my daughter load up on caffeine.

Then we had to get ears for the boys.  (Luke and Caroline got AM ears when they went to Disneyland a few years back.)



These shots were taken in back to back milliseconds because Bubba did NOT like wearing the ears.




Luckily while we were waiting for our table at dinner, Clark was able to let off some steam and run around.  It's hard being couped up in a stroller all day!




After dinner (at Tony's Town Square) we had the perfect seat for the light parade.  It's a classic!




The drizzle was gone, but it was a little chilly.




I really wanted AM to see the fireworks up close and personal one night so the rest of the crew went back while Luke, Caroline, AM and I stayed.  (Luke and I also booked it to Space Mountain to sneak in a quick ride before they started!)
Oh yes, the hair is still in place at 8 pm!  Hard as a rock!




Luke took pictures while I held AM.  I love this one he got!




I teared up and was so thankful to have a moment with just my big girl.  I kept thinking about how she's all grown up and going to Kindergarten soon!  aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!

And that's where our first full day ended.  Lots of happy memories and laughter.
