"The fundamental mission of motherhood now is the same as it always was: to nurture, protect, and instruct children, to create a home environment that enables them to learn and grow, to help them develop a heart for God and his purposes, and to send them out into the world prepared to live both fully and meaningfully."

Christmas '08

Well, the Svobodas had a GREAT Christmas and felt very blessed as always. Here are some shots to fill you in on our holiday: Can you spot the princess inside the castle?

Oh, how AnnMarie loves makeup. It's a slight obsession. Here is a perfect shot of just how she fixes her mouth when putting on"princess" lipgloss.
Super proud of the princess bike Santa left! (You will notice an overwhelming princess theme, but it's hard to avoid folks.)
Santa's spread:
Santa's spread...

Josh and Julia gave her a complete Fancy Nancy outfit with a purse and sunglasses. woohoo!

AM and Gigi. (Football in the background---wouldn't be the Jurgensen household without it!)

Digging through her stocking. We had so much fun watching her because she got so excited about every little thing. So sweet!

A couple days after Christmas our Jurgensen cousins from Memphis came for a visit, and the girls went to Salado for a day of shopping. After we had been quietly winding through one of the stores, I looked down to find AM like this. She'd put her legs through the arms in her coat. For some reason it cracked me up!

As J&J were leaving, we found June in the car ready to go! We got a kick out of her looking like she was ready to drive off!

AnnMarie with Aunt Cindy making a peppermint cake. It was sooooooooooo good!

On New Year's Eve we drove to Midland to have Christmas with the Svobodas. AnnMarie was thrilled to get more princess makeup and dress up clothes (notice the excitement in her face), and she had a ball playing with Uncle Jonathan!

We love Grandmommy!

Gamma and Pepaw gave her (drum roll please...) the entire set of Disney Princesses! I really don't think this Christmas could have gone any better for this little girl! :)
