"The fundamental mission of motherhood now is the same as it always was: to nurture, protect, and instruct children, to create a home environment that enables them to learn and grow, to help them develop a heart for God and his purposes, and to send them out into the world prepared to live both fully and meaningfully."

Halloween

We had such a fun Halloween! Here is princess Belle herself. (oh and Mrs. Potts was her candy holder) Her favorite part was getting to wear "real" makeup. :) She talked about it for weeks! I had so much fun being her makeup artist and seeing her pure joy! My little angel is growing up... :( Our sweet frog loved his first Halloween!
Our weekend started off Friday night with our church's Fall Festival. Clark saw his buddy, Mase, dressed as a football. hehe!
Gigi and Papa stopped by to see the princess and the frog.
We saw precious piggie, Katie Mae.
The HUGE bounce house/slides were a BIG hit!
AnnMarie with the Steen/Webb crew
Next stop--face painting!
Our buddies, Mabry and Caleb
CANDY!!!!
There were tons of games to play. Now, this particular one grossed me out, but for some reason this is the only picture I got.
Another Belle---Lucy!
Brother lasted as long as he could... :)
Saturday night the Svobodas were here so Allison and I took AnnMarie to do some old fashioned trick or treating in our neighborhood. She loved it and felt so big getting to go out late while brother had to go to bed. But----the next day she told me she was soooo tired and that I shouldn't have taken her trick or treating so late. hmm! :)

Field Trips!

AnnMarie is officially at the age to take real field trips. I can't believe I'm not the teacher leading these trips; instead I'm the mommy watching my child in action with her class. My how things have come full circle!
AnnMarie and Mrs. Conner at the zoo
Our zoo is so pretty! It's always a treat when we get to go there.
Great photo op :)
AnnMarie with her best class bud, Ella
AnnMarie with one of her many boy crushes, Maclane
The next week we (finally--after rescheduling cause of rain) got to go to the pumpkin patch. The kids were enthralled with the gourds.
AnnMarie checking out a special one with Mrs. Thompson

The whole class trying their best to smile through squinting!

Sweet little pumpkin
Clark came along on this trip too. I am hoping all of this dragging him around (aka never finishing a nap on his own, etc.) will make him very well rounded one day! :)
What a blessing it is to get to be there for every special moment with my child. I love it!

I'm Fabulous???

I've been tagged! Thanks, Holly... I know when you say "fabulous" you really mean, "sucker for getting tagged posts..." :)
Here are the rules: share five things you're obsessed with and then pass the award on to the five most fabulous blogs you know.

1. I'm obsessed with cleaning out/organizing every nook and cranny in my house lately. It's like I'm postpardum nesting. No stone goes unturned, no closet unsearched. I am having a garage sale in a few weeks, and I can't wait! I am slightly OCD about not having any clutter or item in my house that doesn't have a purpose at the moment. (well no, that's always)

2. I'm obsessed with P90X. Sean and I are workout partners every night and encourage each other not to give up! I am bound and determined to get rid of this baby weight mainly because I get to be in a wedding in May!! :)

3. I'm obsessed with my Iphone. I use it all the time. It comes in handy the best in the middle of the night while I'm nursing. I catch up on everyone's lives via Facebook and play games.

4. I'm obsessed with decorating/updating my house. I'm constantly rearranging or repurposing lately. This one goes hand in hand with #1... I am convinced I would be bored to tears with a house that needed no work.

5. I'm obsessed with having cereal for dessert. My DH turned me onto a bowl of Lucky Charms after dinner and I realized how much better (if you're gonna do dessert) of a choice it is than a bowl of BlueBell. :) I know it seems funny to all of you cerealites out there, but I am not a fan for breakfast. But---for dessert...

Thank you Holly for thinking my blog is fabulous! I think yours is as well!! I also think these five blogs are fabulous and am tagging them to do the same:
Caryn
Angie
Kacey
Sally

Uncle Lukey's getting married!

Isn't this the SWEETEST picture?? That's right! Luke's engaged! I can't believe my baby brother is getting married. Wow. Luke has a heart of gold and is going to be the best husband. I am so proud of him!! His gooooorgeous bride is Caroline. They've been dating a few years, and we are soo excited about his upcoming wedding! He proposed last weekend in Dallas, and both families were there to celebrate afterwards.

The happy couple

Funny detail--Luke's buddies were hiding in the bushes to take pictures!
Here they are arriving at the restaurant with all of us hooting and hollering!
The rock. Luke did good! :)
Caroline has a HUGE fan named AnnMarie.
I think AM was totally enthralled because this was like a real life princess story! She thought L and C were getting married that night!
Caroline has 5 (count em, 5) siblings. Phew! They are all so sweet--make up a wonderful family!
AnnMarie with the prince
Aw, I love my baby broduh.
Ain't she a BEAUT?? wow. What a beautimous bride she will be. I feel so blessed to have two amazing sisters in law!

Minication

Since this summer we were blessed with a bouncing bundle of blue instead of going on our regular beach trip....my parents took us on a "minication" as I'm calling it, to San Antonio. On our way down, we stopped at Cabela's, and AM loved looking at all the animals. Her favorite thing though was wearing the Dora lifejacket that we bought her to wear at the resort.
Here she is mid "cheese" posing in front of a bear:

We stayed at the Hyatt Wild Oak Ranch, which is beautiful (notice the neat old tree in the background) and has lots of activites for the fam.
Gigi and Papa with the grandkids
The highlight of our trip was going to...SEA WORLD! I was so excited to watch AnnMarie experience it all, and it definitely lived up to my expectations! :)

Mommy and AM riding the Shamu Express (She liked it so much that she went back for another ride with Daddy.)My brave little rollercoaster rider! (side note--Sean and I decided to ride the "Steel Eel" because we thought, "Hey, we loved rollercoasters when we were teens, we can handle a big rollercoaster"===WRONG. We were shaken and rattled around so much that we were begging for it to stop. I was laughing SO hard that I almost had an accident. It was so funny. Let's just say we are not the younguns we once were! What a fun memory though.)

Ta Da! Shamu! The prized killer whale we drove hours to see! AnnMarie's favorite part of the trip.

It was soooooooo hot, but we survived. This little one looooooooooved it.

The Clarkman was not too amused, but he did a standout job patiently letting his sister have fun. :)

Luckily there were a few indoor exhibits with AC. phew!

Another highlight for AM---feeding the dolphins.
One of the best parts about the Wild Oak Ranch is the lazy river and beach area. Here are AM and Papa at the "beach".

Boy was Mommy happy to get in the lazy river after a long day at Sea World.

Thanks for the minication, Mom and Dad!
